KNOXVILLE NON-PROFIT RECEIVES TIMELY CHRISTMAS GIFT
The Restoration House of East TN Wins the Hewlett-Packard $6000 Magic Giveaway
KNOXVILLE, TN December 19, 2008 – The Restoration House of East Tennessee, a non-profit that provides housing for single and unwed mothers, is one of this year’s recipients of the HP Magic Giveaway – a prize package valued at $6000 worth of computer equipment and software.
“We are fortunate that during these uncertain economic times, our operational funding is set for next year, however, as with many non-profit organizations, budgets are still strained,” said Daniel Watson, executive director for The Restoration House of East Tennessee (TRH). This computer equipment will provide workstations to some of our staff and will help outfit the resource center for our families slated for construction in 2009.”
Fifty of the world’s top computer industry bloggers were selected by HP and Microsoft to review the equipment. Each was given the autonomy to run their own giveaway contests. The Restoration House was nominated unbeknownst to them to GottaBeMobile.com, an Internet mobile technology news and review website.
“We were shocked when our friends David and Vicki Arpino called to tell us their nomination of TRH won,” noted Watson. We’re appreciative of the recognition and we look forward to making good use of this tremendous blessing.”
